Dear Parents/Caregivers
Firstly, I would like to thank the community for the warm welcome. Jarrahdale Primary School is a great place for children to learn and play we are very fortunate to have fabulous staff who are committed to the care and education of our students. The grounds are beautiful and the school retains its country feel, which I appreciate.
Term 4 is always a busy one, as we finish off one year and get ready for a smooth start to 2021. This year marks the end of the School’s Business Plan, so as a staff we are reviewing our targets and discussing where we hope to take JPS over the cycle of our next Business Plan. In collaboration with the School Board we will be seeking your input into the new plan in early 2021.
The Positive Behaviour Support Team have been very busy. After student, staff and community consultation it has been decided that our four values will be; respect, responsibility, kindness and strive for success. From here we are creating a Positive Behaviour Matrix which will outline the expected behaviours at JPS. This will then form the new Positive Management of Student Behaviour Policy which is currently been developed. As mandated by the Department of Education a Good Standing Policy will also form part of this document.
I look forward to a productive and rewarding last five weeks of the year. Please if you have any questions or concerns do not hesitate to come and see me.
Kind regards,
Hayley Taylor
Principal
