“An Independent School”

Jarrahdale Primary School (JPS) is a nurturing, semi-rural primary school located in Jarrahdale, about 50km south-east of Perth. We are a Level 3 Primary School with approximately 83 students. Our school offers the benefits of both city and country life with the majority of our students residing within the Jarrahdale locale.
Our students live in a world where the challenges are complex and diverse requiring them to develop the ability to problem solve, clearly articulate themselves and be caring and skilled at engaging different people. The quality educational program provided to JPS students engages students, encourages curiosity, builds relationships and develops a passion for learning so that students are equipped with these skills for the future.

Principal’s Message
Welcome to Jarrahdale Primary School, situated in the beautiful and historical semi-rural town of Jarrahdale. We have approximately 100 students from Kindergarten to Year 6. Being a small school allows us to offer many advantages not found in some of the larger primary schools. We offer cross-curriculum, whole-school teaching and learning opportunities allowing children to socialise out of their year level and feel engaged within the school community.
The school holds a long tradition of working with the community and establishing personal and civic pride through education, community involvement and awareness of the local environment. Our school motto “Joy, Pride, Success” is embedded through all our plans and our focus is on developing the “whole child” through exposure to a range of experiences.
Jarrahdale Primary School became an Independent Public School in 2015, affording us more autonomy and ability to set our own strategic direction to cater for our students. While called independent, we still remain part of the public school system. For more information, you can access the Department’s Independent Public Schools Page.
